Gookies
Gookies are a gluten free, wheat free cookie dough roll available in various flavours. The cookie dough roll is refrigerated and can also be frozen and cooked from frozen. The 480g roll produces ten ready to bake cookies, while the 320g roll produces six cookies.
The Gookie flavours available are milk chocolate, triple chocolate, cranberry & white chocolate and colourful M&M.
The Gookies are homemade by Muriel Coughlan in East Cork, using gluten free flour, Irish butter, Callebaut Belgian chocolate and free range eggs. They are free from yeast and preservatives.
Muriel, being a coeliac, is aware of the unavailability and lack of choice of tasty foods that are gluten free. Gookies are a quick, easy and convenient way for you to bake gluten free treats for friends and family.
Muriel won the GROW BAKE COOK competition at the EAT Cork’s food festival in September 2010. The exciting GROW BAKE COOK enterprise initiative to seek out a new food producer from the ranks of skilled amateurs was backed by Fáilte Ireland and the new enterprise team at Cork City Council.
