Clonakilty Black Pudding has its origins in a small farmhouse in rural West Cork, Ireland. From the 1880’s this blackpudding was made to a secret recipe in a butcher shop at 16 Pearse St., Clonakilty. The precious secret recipe was handed down through the generations and the now famous Clonakilty Blackpudding is still being manufactured by the Twomey family today. Clonakilty White Pudding has been added and together they have become Ireland’s favourite puddings. We at Clonakilty Blackpudding Co., are very much aware of how important supporting local, and supporting Irish products and business is to both the community and the country. We consciously source our ingredients from local suppliers where possible.
Our pork suppliers are Rossderra and Dawn Pork and Bacon and our beef is from Liffey Meats in Ballyjamesduff. Our pinhead oatmeal comes from Flahavan’s and our onions are from Bandon Co-op along with many more, quality local suppliers. We won’t compromise on the quality of our ingredients and in turn our products.
