Hello! We are General Stores Food, a small Irish company that produces high quality baked goods and provides catering services in the Cork region of Ireland. We're delighted you've found us.
General Stores Food operates in three businesses. We run a convenience store in Courtbrack -- Courtbrack General Stores. We provide a range of fresh baked products to several retailers in the Cork region. We provide a catering service to the general public offering delicious food for parties and celebrations.
Our focus is on fresh, nutritious and delicious food that you will be proud to serve to your family and friends. We avoid artificial colours, flavours and preservatives and favour all natural, Irish ingredients in our recipes. Our products are primarily traditional Irish but sometimes we give them an international twist. It’s all about fresh, natural and flavourful!
Mary is our patisserie chef. She qualified with a Bachelor of Arts in Culinary Art from Cork Institute of Technology and trained at Blarney Woollen Mills Hotel and McCarthy’s Bar and Bistro. Mary lived and worked in Chicago for two years and London for three years developing her knowledge of international cuisine and culture. Mary takes traditional Irish recipes for breads, cakes and pies and updates them with wholesome, natural ingredients for modern, healthy living. These are baked daily in our Courtbrack store.
