The Tipperary Kitchen, creators of the famously irresistible Holycross Chocolate Biscuit Cake is located in the heart of rural Ireland. Using locally sourced ingredients to create an award winning range of delicious breads and cakes.Based in Holycross Village, Thurles, The Tipperary Kitchen is the brainchild of Brian & Ann Marie Walsh who together run another business, the village shop, Holycross Stores.
On hearing that they were selected as a supplier on www.localmarkets.ie, Ann Marie said “I am so delighted to see all of the hard work of our team being recognised. We love cracking open the free range eggs every morning, using stone-ground locally grown wholemeal, melting Tipperary Butter or softly whipping Thurles fresh cream. How the product looks & tastes when someone takes it home is really important to us. It’s the foundation on which our business is built”
In 2010, Brian & Ann Marie’s Holycross Chocolate Biscuit Cake was voted the best in Ireland by Blas na hEireann – The Irish Food Awards. They then went on to win the highly coveted Great Taste Award, proving that the proof of the pudding really is in the eating”.
